Elaine Rogers was born in Norfolk, Virginia.  She received a BA from the University of Richmond in Studio Art and Art History, a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in Painting and Printmaking, and an MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Painting.  Her work has been exhibited nationally in numerous group shows and solo exhibitions in Richmond, Charlottesville, and Norfolk, VA.  Rogers teaching career includes Collegiate Schools, the University of Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth University, and the VMFA Studio School.  She received a Virginia Museum Professional Fellowship in 1988-89.  Her memberships include 1708 and Artspace galleries.  Her work is in the collections at Capital One, FCCR/Pinnacle Rehabilitation Center, the Robins Foundation, and many private collections.  Elaine Rogers has recently moved to the Nashville, TN area to continue her studio practice and to be closer to her grandchildren.
